Dear families,
I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! Please check your child's purple duotang daily for an important lice alert! We have had one case of head lice in the class. To make sure we don't spread it outside of our classroom, please check your child's head daily for the next three weeks.
Today we started off with an Owl presentation from CRD Parks. Students have learned about what Owls look like, sound like and much more! We will also have a special hip hop dance class this Friday in the gym thanks to Vibestreet Dance.
Our colour this week is violet, and we are learning all about the letter B and b. Please help your child practice writing their name with the first letter as a capital letter and all remaining letters as lower case letters. We are continuing to practice writing our first and last names and our numbers. We are now going though the entire alphabet in French using our 'Alphabet Rap' song so that we can easily connect our letters to their sounds. To complement this at home, you can do the letter sounds in English. For example, A sounds like ahhh, B sounds like baah, while pointing to the letter in words of a book.
