This week our colour is grey (gris), and our letter is D and d. We have officially started our science experiments. Today, we did an experiment about magnetism. We learned that objects with copper (for example, pennies) are not magnetic, however objects with iron (such as paper and hair clips) are! In math we are going to start counting up to 30 from now until the holidays. We will work on identifying the numbers in order and isolation. We are also learning to identify their portions from 1-10 ( e.g. what do 5 buttons look like?).
As usual, students go to music 3 times a week. One of the many songs they are learning is "Bonjour l'Hiver" by Charlotte Diamond. They will be performing this song at our annual Primary Winter Concert. It will be taking place on December 18th from 1-2 pm in our Richmond location gym. You are all welcome to attend!
On Thursday we have our neighborhood walk, and Friday first term Report Cards go home. If your child has a second home and needs another copy, please send me an email and I can send an extra one home.
